2012: Year In Review

2012: Year In Review

The year 2012 included an amazing wedding with Boogs, lots of super exciting projects, and some unfortunate losses in the friends & family department. I will be pushing myself even harder in 2013.

If you are considering hiring me, please take a look at my pricing and feel free to contact me with any questions or jokes you might have heard this morning. I love jokes.

“Jumping Jack Flash” jam in Propellerhead Record

Today I had some time to practice guitar and record a bit of what I was riffing on. This is something I put together in Propellerhead Record. I like the layered guitars in this and it’s not bad for just a few takes. It’s also worth mentioning that the Rolling Stones are on tour celebrating 50 years together. How insane is that?

Sennheiser EW100 G3 Wireless Microphone System

Sennheiser EW100 G3 Wireless Microphone System

There comes a time when it’s time to upgrade old equipment. Goodbye NADY and hello Sennheiser EW100 G3! Crystal clear audio and a rock solid design. I could probably use the receiver or transmitter as a hammer. METAL BODIES! I’ve found that just about every video camera I’ve used has lackluster audio. It’s usually lacking the dynamic range needed. Too tinny. Too much bass and not enough mids. Whatever the case, internal microphones on DSLRs usually suck pretty bad. I love being able to finely tune the sensitivity of this rig so it’s perfect. No weird hisses or interference.

Below is a video clip demonstrating Canon 7D with a Sennheiser EW100 G3.

We, The Chosen video explosion

Sometimes it’s hard to sum up what I do. I’m an artist, but what does that mean to people? That I draw stuff? That’s just one facet. I also know how to do countless other things so the only way to get that point across is a little show and tell. People that hire me are getting the total package. I take pride in knowing a lot and doing my best to make sure I stay as creative as humanly possible.

99% of everything you see in this video was conceived from absolutely nothing but a blank page and ideas flying through my head. Thanks for watching and please remember to share it with co-workers and friends. Word of mouth is the best!

Liturgical Dance Day in Morristown, New Jersey

Liturgical Dance Day in Morristown, New Jersey

Liturgical Dance Day horn blowingI enjoy working on projects that are out of the ordinary and Liturgical Dance Day fits the bill. When I heard about it I had no clue what to expect, but took on the cinematographer assignment anyway. The evening started with flag waving and horn blowing and progressed into interpretive dance. We ended up in a church ceremony the included a full funk band. It was pretty awesome!
