The Smiths invited me to their home to photograph Mr. Smith’s classic 1955 Chevrolet. He has owned it for 40 years and obviously takes exceptional care of it. Of course you can plan a shoot right down to the minute, but mother nature doesn’t adhere to human planning. Rain began coming down about halfway through. I worked deliberately and quickly to make sure we nailed at least a few different setups before the baby had to go back in the garage.
From a gear standpoint I shot with very little. Mainly with a Canon 6D and a Yongnuo 560IV Speedlite sometimes with an umbrella or a stackable grid. Lenses were a mix between the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 and Canon EF 28mm f/1.8.
