Last week I took a thoroughly relaxing lunch break at Rutgers Gardens. Yet another perk of making your own schedule. Somewhere along the way I lost my fork in the bamboo forest. Forking unbelievable! Lucky for me Jeff Heckman happened to have bamboo chopsticks for me to borrow. Once lunch was over, I trekked over […]
Anyone living close to New York City has it pretty good. Any given day we can visit one of the coolest cities ever built. Here are a few shots from a recent trip into midtown.
This past weekend was so nice that it inspired a drive out to Round Valley Reservoir for a nature hike. Lots of butterflies were seen! Enjoy.
This is my second shoot with Angela and we had one hour together at Boyd Park in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The rain was constantly teasing us. Even though it was June, that particular morning was very cold and she wasn’t wearing the warmest attire. I was switching between natural light and an Alien Bee […]

Sara can cook. She’s proven it time and time again. I must have eaten three pieces of the fried chicken alone. I paused momentarily to take a few photos before devouring all of it.
Shooting Bella’s first birthday party was a piece of cake. And she really enjoyed her pieces of cake. She even shared some with her parents. All of the guests were requested to wear bright colors like yellows and oranges. I’ve never witnessed the afterglow of an atomic bomb, but I imagine it’s nowhere near as […]

Wolves. Lots of them. Lakota Wolf Preserve has to be one of the coolest day trips we’ve been on in a long time. The wolves all know their names and howl when you call them. It made me think about how awesome it is that they have such great caretakers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED trip. I took […]

Princeton Battlefield is yet another place in New Jersey that I had never been to until this session came along. Boogs and I arrived a bit early to explore the grounds and it’s much more than just a big field. The Clark House is there and it’s an excellent backdrop for portraits and landscapes. Another […]

I was invited out to Flemington, New Jersey to take some portraits of Henry, his canine buddies and their mom Stephanie. From the moment I arrived, Henry was crawling around at supersonic speeds and smiling constantly. Great session!
Spring is finally visible at Duke Farms. We did some walking and some bike riding to see most of the grounds. It goes on and on and on. Doris Duke has the best yard in America.
