There comes a time when it’s time to upgrade old equipment. Goodbye NADY and hello Sennheiser EW100 G3! Crystal clear audio and a rock solid design. I could probably use the receiver or transmitter as a hammer. METAL BODIES! I’ve found that just about every video camera I’ve used has lackluster audio. It’s usually lacking the dynamic range needed. Too tinny. Too much bass and not enough mids. Whatever the case, internal microphones on DSLRs usually suck pretty bad. I love being able to finely tune the sensitivity of this rig so it’s perfect. No weird hisses or interference.
Below is a video clip demonstrating Canon 7D with a Sennheiser EW100 G3.
In this video I give a few tips on buying a new camera and exploring the world of photography. It’s not as easy as buying an expensive camera and suddenly becoming a “professional”. Learn the craft. That’s how your work takes shape and stands out from the crowd.
And, yes, I do say “uh” and “um” a lot in this video. I did it in one take, so I’m pretty proud of that. Ha ha! In the future, I promised less “uhs” and “uhms”.
People are free to believe in whatever religion they choose. However, there is a glaring problem I see within the photography & videography industry. People are using their religion to cast a net over like-minded fans of Jesus (Other religious figures included!). Please stop using Jesus as your salesperson. It’s phony bologna and I can smell it from ten miles away. Rely on your skills, not your religious affiliation. (I laughed at quite a few wedding photographers during my own search last year. The work was usually mediocre, but they took plenty of time quoting scriptures.)
I did a quick sketch of the man himself. Notice he is not selling anything.
