Brenda and Jon met at The University of Delaware when they were both in marching band. Marching bands across America have produced some of the most interesting people including Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails. Nice random fact, right? We got together on a hot Sunday afternoon on campus for a session celebrating their relationship and some of the landmarks of UDEL. There have been many great improvements to the school such as a building for their music program. Jon went off the MIDI-grid and played some traditional piano for Brenda. He was really getting into it, but stopped short of playing with his elbows and feet Jerry Lee Lewis style. Thank you to both Brenda and Jon for spending some time in front of the lens. Also a big thanks to John Lauritsen for coming out to assist and shoot a bit.
Lorraine Dey is an exceptionally talented artist. Her work has been featured on products sold at major retailers and she has illustrated children’s books such as “The Rain Forest Party” and “A Sweater for Duncan”. She is also one heck of a nice person and makes a mean chicken salad. For Lorraine’s portraits we made great use of her lovely home studio, backyard and local marshlands minutes from her home studio.
Once in a blue moon I run a special promotion for my work. For the next two weeks, I will shoot portraits of individuals and groups of people for $100.00. That includes everything from my travel to the final images emailed directly to you. It’s something I will probably never do again.
