Vanessa and Conrad are two people that have gone along with all of my crazy photo ideas! Beginning with their engagement session that required them to order Chinese food all the way to their wedding day at La Triestina in Congers, New York. They set the gold standard of a couple that expresses love effortlessly and you can see that in the photographs. The bridal party and guests gave me everything I needed. I have a hard time working with boring people. Fortunately, fun people find me or I find them. Vanessa and Conrad recently bought a house together and I wanted to photograph them in it before everything looked brand new. They had been restoring the house like champs, so there were only a few areas unfinished enough for photographs depicting a work-in-progress. One idea I really wanted to capture was the meal every new homeowner experiences. Chinese food on a cardboard table. It’s a simple meal and it is a great symbol of the beginning of a life together. Making due with what you have. The symbolism goes on and on.
