Today I had some time to practice guitar and record a bit of what I was riffing on. This is something I put together in Propellerhead Record. I like the layered guitars in this and it’s not bad for just a few takes. It’s also worth mentioning that the Rolling Stones are on tour celebrating 50 years together. How insane is that?
There comes a time when it’s time to upgrade old equipment. Goodbye NADY and hello Sennheiser EW100 G3! Crystal clear audio and a rock solid design. I could probably use the receiver or transmitter as a hammer. METAL BODIES! I’ve found that just about every video camera I’ve used has lackluster audio. It’s usually lacking the dynamic range needed. Too tinny. Too much bass and not enough mids. Whatever the case, internal microphones on DSLRs usually suck pretty bad. I love being able to finely tune the sensitivity of this rig so it’s perfect. No weird hisses or interference.
Below is a video clip demonstrating Canon 7D with a Sennheiser EW100 G3.
Sometimes it’s hard to sum up what I do. I’m an artist, but what does that mean to people? That I draw stuff? That’s just one facet. I also know how to do countless other things so the only way to get that point across is a little show and tell. People that hire me are getting the total package. I take pride in knowing a lot and doing my best to make sure I stay as creative as humanly possible.
99% of everything you see in this video was conceived from absolutely nothing but a blank page and ideas flying through my head. Thanks for watching and please remember to share it with co-workers and friends. Word of mouth is the best!
I enjoy working on projects that are out of the ordinary and Liturgical Dance Day fits the bill. When I heard about it I had no clue what to expect, but took on the cinematographer assignment anyway. The evening started with flag waving and horn blowing and progressed into interpretive dance. We ended up in a church ceremony the included a full funk band. It was pretty awesome!
Two brothers. One mission. Portraits for mom and dad. Success, gentlemen! How nice was it that day?! I barely did any post-processing on these images. The August sky was cartoonish and really helped with the mood of these photos.
Adorama asked their fans on facebook to send in winter photos to be used for their blog. They chose the photo I took of the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Pretty cool! You can click on the screenshot below to see the photo and order a print of it.
Over the weekend I spent some time at Rutgers Gardens taking photos with a few friends who are fellow photographers. The point of this exercise was to swap photos with everyone in the group so we each had some great family photos in time for the holidays. Mother Nature also decided to let up a bit so we had a nice golden sun to work with. I’ve never been to Rutgers Gardens this time of year so it was a nice change of pace from the usual scenery.
