Model Session with Leiah at The Art Factory

Because of the ongoing (hopefully slowing?) pandemic here in America a lot about life has changed. For Leiah’s 16th birthday the traditional big party wasn’t going to be possible so she received a full-on modeling session from her parents.

It was great getting “the band back together” with Araena Sanchez doing makeup, Carlos Roman doing hair and Lew Friggin’ Monty assisting.

I was happy to break out the entire bag of tricks for this shoot. Beauty dishes, fresnel lights, the MagBox, natural light, shutter drag, compositing, etc.

Maternity Session with That Werks Photography @ Art Factory in Paterson, NJ

I’ve worked with Angela several times in the past for action packed fashion shoots. We slowed things down a few steps for this elegant maternity shoot at the Art Factory.

We hazed up one of my favorite rooms and got incredible shafts of light!

This was also a great opportunity for me to shoot on my Mamiya 645 Pro with Ilford HP5 Plus 400. The first image in the series below was done on that camera.

2021 is off to a great start and I hope yours is too.

Kayla flexing the model muscles

Here we go with an off the cuff shoot done with Kayla at The Art Factory in Paterson, NJ . I got to break out the fog machine for some mysterious atmospheric looks.

I’ve made it a personal challenge to shoot with less equipment in 2020. This year has given me the strange opportunity to slow down and go back to my roots a bit.

Good times! Have a look!
